Steve Streimer Announces 2019 TC America Season with Rooster Hall Racing
Portland, Oregon – As the 2019 sports car racing season gets started across North America, Steve Streimer has announced his return to the SRO Motorsports TC America series, formally the Pirelli World Challenge TC class. Racing the No. 81 BMW M235iR with Rooster Hall Racing, Streimer will run the full season, consisting of seven double header race weekends.
“I am looking forward to the 2019 SRO TC America season,” said Streimer. “This year, I will be joining Rooster Hall Racing as part of a 3-car championship effort. I really am looking forward to working with my teammates to get everything we can out of the cars and ourselves. When the opportunity arose to join Rooster Hall I could not pass it up,” said Streimer. “The team is very strong as evidenced by their 3rd place finish in the driver and team championship points this past season as well as having been selected by their peers this past year as having the crew of the year. Todd and Michelle Brown, team owners, have a great program and I look forward being a part of it. Of course, getting the opportunity to drive a purpose-built BMW M235iR which is planned to receive upgrades to the M240iR this season didn’t hurt either.”
Streimer ran his first full season in the series this past year for TechSport Racing where he drove the #23 Nissan 370z, to a 5th place finish in the overall driver championship points; earning one win, a 2nd and ten top ten finishes along the way.
Streimer’s 2019 season will begin with Rounds 1 & 2 at the Circuit of the Americas, in Austin, Texas. Each race weekend will consist of two races, each a 40-minute sprint to the checkered flag.
