Bio

Now entering his 10th year racing, Steve Streimer has established himself as a player in the one-make Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Series on the west coast; also known as the Pirelli GT3 Cup Trophy USA West. After taking his Porsche Cayman S to the track in early 2007 for several track days he was hooked. Steve started racing competitively in 2010 with a 2004 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car. He campaigned the Porsche in both the SCCA and Pirelli GT3 Cup Series posting strong results. In 2012, he progressed up to a 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car running in the SCCA Majors; GT2 class and the Gold class of the Pirelli GT3 Cup Series. In 2013 and 2014 he finished 3rd and 2nd respectively in the Gold Class Championship point standings of the Pirelli GT3 Cup Series.

2015, marked the beginning of Steve’s professional career where he drove a 2010 Dodge Viper ACRX in the Trans Am Series and earned recognition as the TA3 International Rookie of the Year. After a strong performance in 2016 Steve ran a very limited program in 2017 and then ran his first full season championship effort in 2018.  Driving the #23 Nissan Nismo 370z in the Pirelli World Challenge TC Class for TechSport racing where he finished 5th in the driver championship points. In 2019, Steve will return to the SRO Motorsports TC Class (formerly Pirelli World Challange) and will drive a BMW M235iR for Rooster Hall Racing.

2010    Graduate of Ford Racing School at Miller Motorsports Park; Eleven Top-Five finishes in 14 races

2011   Raced both a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup car and a Ford Mustang FR500. Earning four class wins in 16 races.

2012   Fifteen class wins in 17 races. Finished 2nd in the Pirelli GT3 Cup Series – Silver Class Point Standings. Set Track Record at Portland International Raceway in 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. Co-drove a Dodge Viper ACRX in the fall enduro at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah

2013  Six class wins and eight pole positions in 16 races. Finished 3rd in Pirelli GT3 Cup Series - Gold Class Point Standings. Finished 2nd in the NASA GTS5 Championship Race at
Miller Motorsports Park. Set Track Record at Auto Club Speedway (Fontana, Calif.) in 2008 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup.

2014  Four wins and eighteen top five finishes in 19 races. Finished 2nd in the Pirelli GT3 Cup Series - Gold Class Point Standings. Finished 5th in the NASA ST1 Championship Race at Sonoma Raceway. Became the 54th Annual Portland Rose Cup Champion.  

2015  Three wins and six top five finishes in six races. Finished 3rd in the 2015 Trans Am TA3 International Championship Points and became the 2015 DYNOJET TA3 International Rookie of the Year. Recognized as the Professional Driver of the year by the Oregon Region of SCCA.

2016 Two wins and five top five finishes in five races; finishing 6th in the 2016 Trans Am TA3 Championship Points and a debut run in the Pirelli World Challenge - TCA Class. 

2017 One win in one race in the 2017 Trans Am West Coast Championship - TA3 Class and two top ten finishes in two races in the Pirelli World Challange - TCA Class. 

2018 One win, a 2nd and ten top ten finishes in twelve races; finsihing 5th in the Pirelli World Challenge TC class championship points.
